This is a fun filled weekend for the whole family. The Valley is abuzz with activities, traditional Dutch and Cape Dutch delicacies are on offer. Visit the wine estates for wine tasting, entertainment, and sample olives, cheese and chocolates. Visit the farmers market for organic vegetables, home baked goodies etc. Don’t miss the Dutch Courage Party on Saturday evening. The restaurants will have a variety of Cape, Dutch and East Indian cuisine on their menus. Entertainment for the whole family

SHARK RALLY

The Shark Rally 2009 will be held in Tulbagh at the Klip River Park. The Rally is organized by the Vikings. They have a very interesting program for the weekend, with live music, competitions with great prizes. This will be the tenth year celebration of the Shark Rally.

Christmas in Winter

27 & 28 JUNE 2009
Tulbagh celebrates Christmas in winter. The village is decorated with lights and Christmas trees. Father Christmas rides through the streets giving out treats to the children. The restaurants offer traditional Christmas Dinners. Visit the arts and craft stalls, take a drive through the Valley and visit the wine estates for wine tasting, entertainment and festive fair. A Rock with Santa Party is also held in the evening.

Tulbagh Horse and Wild Flower show

23 – 27 SEPTEMBER 2009
National Horse Championships are held and the highlights of the show are the wildflower exhibition, where flowers are displayed in their natural state. Various exhibitions, art and craft stalls, food stalls and a wine and beer garden. Entertainment for the whole family
